Below is the link to 2021 High School Options recorded webinar. Your address determines where students will attend high school. The majority of Cloonan students will attend Westhill High, however, some may opt to apply to a different high school with a specific focus.

ATTENTION 8TH GRADE PARENTS:
The State of Connecticut recently revised the high school graduation requirements. Below is Stamford Public Schools new requirements effective the Class of 2023.
High School Options:
The 8th grader's address determines where they will attend high school in the fall.
The majority of students will attend Westhill High School or Stamford High School;
however, some students may opt to apply to another high school with a specialty focus.
Students can apply to go to:
JROTC Cadet
- Physical, Drill and Ceremony training weekly
- Uniforms will be provided and worn once a week
- To enroll must call JROTC office (See link below)
Stamford Regional Agriscience & Technology Program
- College preparatory program that focuses on animal and plant related sciences (referred to as agriscience)
- Classroom instruction and laboratory/field experience
- After getting an overview of agriculture, students choose an area of specialty during their last two years
- Areas of interest include: Animal/Plant Science, Marine Science, Biotechnology, Floral Designs, etc. (See link below)

Academy of Information Technology and Engineering (AITE)
- Inter-district, public, magnet high school located in Stamford, Connecticut
- Integrates 21st century learning expectations, world language, advanced information technology skills and knowledge, introductory courses in pre-engineering, architecture, and biomedical sciences
- Admission is based on an application and lottery system. The deadline for submitting AITE School Lottery applications is Tuesday, January 16, 2024 at 4:00p.m. The lottery drawing will be held on Thursday, February 1, 2024 and acceptances are due on Wednesday, February 21, 2024.

J.M. Wright Technical High School
- Innovative high school that prepares students for jobs through dual curriculum
- Technologies include: Automotive Technology, Facilities Management, Carpentry, Health Technology, Culinary Arts and Sciences, Information Systems Technology, Digital Media, Plumbing and Heating, Electrical, Tourism, Hospitality and Guest Services Management
- Open House on November 9th from 6:00 - 8:00PM (website link below)
- Applications are available online only. Applications will be available after Nov. 1, 2023 and the priority deadline is due December 15, 2023.
- Applications submitted after Dec. 15, 2023 will be reviewed on a rolling admission basis only for schools where a seat is available.

Stamford High School's Early College Studies Program (ECS)
- ECS is a new and exciting program offered at Stamford High
- Opportunity to graduate high school and earn an associate degree in a technology based field in 4-6 years
- Through dual enrolled courses, students can earn both college and high school credit
- Daily after school tutoring, a summer program, and a Chromebook are available to students
- Only 50 students are accepted each year
- Application are online only and an interview is required
- Application will be open mid-November. Application deadline is Jan. 15, 2024.

Center for Global Studies
- Inter-district, international studies magnet school that focuses upon Arabic, Chinese and Japanese language, history, and culture
- Located at Brien McMahon High School, Norwalk. Students are bused or travel by train from Stamford
- Open house dates: Oct. 26, 6:30PM - 8:30PM, Dec. 2, 10AM- 12PM, Jan. 4, 8AM - 10AM. All Open Houses are held at the Center for Global Studies in their Community Room. Their address is 300 Highland Ave, Norwalk, CT, 06854.
- Applications are online only and the deadline is January 10, 204.
- Late applications will be accepted from January 11-September 15, but will be placed at the end of the waiting list
